Dipan urges all to work together to develop Kaptai

KAPTAI, RANGAMATI, Sept 13: Rangamati Hill District Council Chairman and District BNP President Dipan Talukder Dipu has urged people of all communities to work together to develop Kaptai while maintaining communal harmony.

He also assured that the District Council would continue its support for the development of education, healthcare, communication, tourism and other sectors in the upazila.

He made the remarks while responding to a reception accorded to him by Kaptai Upazila BNP and its affiliated and associate organisations at the Upazila Parishad auditorium on Friday afternoon.

Dipan said he was grateful to the people of Kaptai for their love and sincerity.

“We will provide necessary support from the district council for the development of Kaptai. I want to work with everyone to improve people’s quality of life through development in education, healthcare, communication and tourism,” he said.

Kaptai Upazila BNP President Md Lokman Ahmed chaired the programme, moderated by its General Secretary Md Yasin Mamun.

District council member and district BNP General Secretary Advocate Mamunur Rashid Mamun, and district council members Shashwata Chakma Rinku and Uthwai Mong Marma were also accorded receptions with flowers and crests.

Uthwai Mong Marma, also Organising Secretary of Kaptai Upazila BNP, sought the chairman’s cooperation in developing roads, waterways, education, healthcare, employment and tourism in Kaptai.

Among others, District BNP Vice-President Dr Rahmat Ullah, JASAS district unit President Kamal Hossain, Rangamati District JCD President Ali Ahad and General Secretary Naimul Islam Rony spoke at the programme.
