Southeast Bank joins BB’s Tk 5,000cr CMSME refinance fund

Southeast Bank PLC recently signed a deal to participate in Bangladesh Bank’s Tk 5,000 crore Working Capital Refinance Fund for CMSMEs to promote employment generation and foster sustainable development.

Under the scheme, Southeast Bank will provide working capital financing at a preferential rate to eligible CMSMEs to help them operate at full capacity, according to a press release.

Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor Md Anis Ur Rahman was present at the signing ceremony as the chief guest. Among others, Nahid Rahman, Executive Director; Md Zabdul Islam, Director of SMESPD of Bangladesh Bank; Md Masum Uddin Khan, Deputy Managing Director; and Mohammad Ashikuzzaman Khan, Executive Vice President and Head of SME and Agri-Credit Division of Southeast Bank PLC also attended the programme.
