Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan-starrer Haiwaan is struggling at the box office, with the film collecting Rs 7.35 crore in its first three days, according to trade estimates.

Directed by Priyadarshan, the crime thriller earned around Rs 1.85 crore on its third day. Despite bringing Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan together on screen after 18 years, the film has failed to generate the expected audience response.

The film has also lost around 1,400 screens to competing releases, further affecting its box-office prospects.

Meanwhile, smaller releases, including Hanuman Ansh and Mirzapur: The Movie, have performed strongly, highlighting the increasingly competitive nature of the current box-office season.

With the crucial weekdays ahead, Haiwaan will need a significant improvement in audience turnout to recover its momentum.
