SRK’s action movie set for Christmas release

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has confirmed that his upcoming film ‘King’ will be released in cinemas on December 24, 2026, despite concerns over a possible delay following injuries he sustained during filming.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, the action thriller remains on schedule for a Christmas release. Khan recently assured fans that he has recovered from his injuries and that work on the film is progressing as planned.

‘King’ features an ensemble cast including Suhana Khan, Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Arshad Warsi and Jaideep Ahlawat.

The film will bring Shah Rukh Khan and his daughter Suhana Khan together on the big screen, marking one of the major highlights of the project.

The makers have kept details of the storyline largely under wraps. However, Khan is expected to appear in a darker, action-oriented role, with the film reportedly centred on a mentor-disciple relationship.

‘King’ will be Shah Rukh Khan’s next major theatrical release following his successful 2023 films Pathaan, Jawan and Dunki.

With Siddharth Anand directing and a high-profile cast joining Khan, ‘King’ is expected to be among the major Bollywood releases of 2026.
