Woman killed in bus-easy bike collision in Chuadanga

A woman was killed and six others were injured when a passenger bus collided head-on with an easy bike in Jibannagar, Chuadanga, on Wednesday (September 16).

The deceased was identified as Aharan Nessa, 50. Her son Asif, 22, was among the injured.

The accident occurred in front of Pathila Eidgah on the Jibannagar-Daonagar road in the afternoon.

Police and locals rescued the injured and took them to Jibannagar Upazila Health Complex. Asif was later sent to Jessore General Hospital for better treatment, while the other five injured are receiving treatment locally.

Police took the bus and easy bike into custody. Legal proceedings are underway.
