Born on September 18, 1976, Ronaldo launched his professional career with Cruzeiro before moving to Europe at age 17. He announced his presence on the European stage at PSV Eindhoven, scoring 52 goals across two seasons before making high-profile transfers to Barcelona and Inter Milan. During his single season at Barcelona in 1996-97, he recorded 47 goals across all competitions.
