Women drug dealer arrested with Yaba in Bhola

Police have arrested a woman with 95 yaba tablets in a special anti-drug drive in Char Fasson of Bhola.

The arrested woman was identified as Lima Akter Jharna, 30.

Acting on a tip-off about drug dealing, a team of Char Fasson police conducted a raid at around 2:45 AM in Ward No. 5 of Char Fasson Municipality.

Police detained Lima in front of a room on the ground floor of a building owned by Mosleh Uddin in the area. A subsequent search recovered 95 yaba tablets from her possession.

Police said Lima had allegedly been involved in drug dealing in the area for a long time.

A case was filed against her under the relevant sections of the Narcotics Control Act, 2018, over the recovery of the drugs.

Police said anti-drug drives are being conducted across Bhola under the direction of Bhola Superintendent of Police Md Shahidullah Kawsar, PPM (Bar).

The arrested woman was sent to jail through the court.
