Admission tests for first-year undergraduate programmes at 20 public universities under the GST cluster system for the 2026-27 academic session will begin on March 19.
The ‘B’ Unit (Humanities) test will be held on March 19, followed by the ‘C’ Unit (Commerce) and ‘D’ Unit (Architecture) tests on March 20. The ‘A’ Unit (Science) test will be held on March 27.
The A, B and C Unit tests will be held from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, while the D Unit test will take place from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
The decision was taken at an online meeting of vice-chancellors of the GST cluster universities on Thursday night. The meeting was chaired by Prof Dr SM Hemayet Jahan, vice-chancellor of Patuakhali Science and Technology University and convener of the Integrated Admission Test Committee.
The 20 GST cluster universities are Islamic University, Mawlana Bhashani Science and Technology University, Patuakhali Science and Technology University, Noakhali Science and Technology University, Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University, Jashore University of Science and Technology, Pabna University of Science and Technology, Begum Rokeya University, Gopalganj Science and Technology University, University of Barishal, Rangamati Science and Technology University, Rabindra University, University of Frontier Technology, Netrokona University, Jamalpur Science and Technology University, Chandpur Science and Technology University, Kishoreganj University, Sunamganj Science and Technology University, Pirojpur University of Science and Technology and Naogaon University.
Three more new universities may also join the cluster, according to the source.
Prof Dr SM Hemayet Jahan, convener of the Integrated Admission Test Committee and vice-chancellor of Patuakhali Science and Technology University, confirmed the information to Jugantor.
He said steps were being taken to form several strong committees to ensure transparent and accountable management of the integrated admission tests, with the opinions of the cluster universities being given importance.
