Fast and Furious makers are facing heavy backlash over plans to bring back late actor Paul Walker using AI for the final chapter 'Fast Forever'.
Walker died in a car crash in 2013. His brothers Caleb and Cody completed his remaining scenes in 'Furious 7' in 2015.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Cody Walker said neither he nor Caleb plans to return, but added AI could be used.
"AI was not a thing back in 2014, so they could do that. There are years of footage that was never used," he said, adding the final decision should lie with Walker's daughter Meadow.
His comment went viral, with fans slamming the idea as "absolutely bereft of creativity" and disrespectful.
The franchise is set to end after 25 years with 'Fast Forever' expected next year.
