Now cocktail explodes outside Shilpakala

A cocktail exploded on the road in front of the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy in the capital’s Segunbagicha area on Sunday afternoon.

The explosion occurred at around 1:30PM, according to police.

Sheikh Zahidul Islam, deputy commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s Ramna Division, confirmed the incident.

“The incident is true. We received information about a cocktail explosion on the road in front of Shilpakala Academy. We are looking into the details.''

The incident came shortly after another cocktail explosion was reported on the road in front of the High Court at around 1:15PM.

Police are investigating both incidents.
