DU holds career summit for female students

A day-long career summit focusing on employment, higher education and professional development was held at the University of Dhaka on Monday, with female students receiving guidance on various career opportunities.

Titled “Campus to Career,” the summit was organised by Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib Hall at the university.

Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Prof Dr Mohammad Al Mujaddid Alfesani inaugurated the programme as the chief guest, while Hall Provost Prof Dr Aleya Begum presided over the inaugural session.

The Pro-VC said women’s empowerment and advancement were crucial to the country’s socioeconomic development.

He urged female students to overcome workplace challenges with confidence and make effective use of their education and skills to pursue higher studies and careers.

The summit featured sessions on BCS and government jobs, corporate careers, CV writing, professional networking, overseas higher education, scholarships, SOPs, teaching, research, fellowships and development-sector jobs.

Students also received individual advice on CVs and professional online profiles.
