11 cocktails found buried underground, one explodes during recovery

Police recovered 11 cocktails buried underground in Chapainawabganj. One of the cocktails exploded with a loud bang during the recovery operation, but no one was injured.

The cocktails were recovered on Monday (September 21) from beneath the ground inside an under-construction house in the Ghorastand area of Ranihati Union under Sadar upazila.

Chapainawabganj Sadar Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Ekramul Hossain confirmed the matter.

He said police conducted a raid after receiving secret information about the stockpiling of cocktails. Later, 11 live cocktails were recovered by digging up the ground. One of them exploded during the operation.

The OC said efforts are underway to identify and arrest those responsible.
