BNP Acting Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi has alleged that some vehicles taking part in the opposition’s long march to Rangpur did not pay tolls amid the ongoing fuel crisis.
Speaking at a discussion titled “Role of the government and opposition in establishing a democratic state” on Tuesday, Rizvi said the opposition took around 450 vehicles to Rangpur for the long march.
He also accused the opposition of creating confusion among the public despite being aware of the global political situation. Rizvi further alleged that cocktail explosions and arson were taking place at different locations as part of attempts to destabilise the country.
Criticising Jamaat-e-Islami, he said the party had no role in movements supporting the people and accused it of repeatedly deceiving the public.
