Medha Shankr reacts to december wedding rumours with Samay Raina

Actress Medha Shankr has responded humorously to social media rumours claiming that she and comedian Samay Raina are set to marry in December.

The rumours surrounding the 12th Fail actress and Raina have intensified since Medha appeared as a panellist on the second season of Raina’s comedy show India’s Got Latent. Speculation grew further after the two were seen partying together and posing for photographs.

According to Hindustan Times, a social media post recently claimed that Raina would marry Medha in December. Raina responded sarcastically on Instagram, writing, “I have my India tour in December. Sorry Medha, the wedding will have to be postponed.”

He also added Lata Mangeshkar’s song Jhooth Bole Kauwa Kaate to the post. Medha reacted with laughing emojis.

Medha later shared a picture of a calf lying on a bed on Instagram, writing that it represented how she was scrolling past the “baseless wedding rumours”. She also added the song Kya Kya from the film Welcome.

Rumours about the two dating began after they were spotted together at parties and posing for pictures. Online users later claimed that similar backgrounds appeared in their vacation photographs, further fuelling speculation.

Medha will next be seen in an untitled detective-comedy project produced by Laxman Utekar, starring Sunny Kaushal and Nimrat Kaur in the lead roles.

Meanwhile, Raina is busy with the second season of India’s Got Latent. The latest season features personalities including Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Bhuvan Bam and casting director Mukesh Chhabra among its panellists. The new season is available on Netflix as well as YouTube.
