Ex-marketing consultant Javed found dead in Dhanmondi Lake

The body of 51-year-old Javed was found floating beneath a bridge behind the Abesh Hotel on Road No. 10 Former marketing consultant Javed Ahmed found dead in Dhanmondi Lake Police have recovered the body of a 51-year-old former marketing consultant from Dhanmondi Lake in Dhaka.

The deceased, Javed Ahmed, was unemployed at the time of his death and had been living with his family in a flat in Block I of the Bashundhara Residential Area.

Dhanmondi police chief Mohammad Imdadul Islam said they recovered the body from beneath a bridge behind Abesh Hotel on Road 10 around 7:30am on Tuesday after receiving a call through the national emergency service 999.

Javed’s identity was established from the national identity card found in his pocket.

Police also used his mobile phone to contact his family, who later went to the police station and identified the body.

Sub-Inspector MM Abdul Gafur said the body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for a postmortem examination.

He said family members told police that although Javed had worked as a marketing consultant, he had been unemployed for a long time.

They said financial difficulties and some physical health problems had left him mentally distressed for some time.

A police inquest found no visible injury marks on his body.

Police said it would be possible to determine whether Javed was killed, died by suicide or fell into the lake accidentally after the postmortem and further investigation.�"bdnews24
