Bangladesh women suffer 8-0 defeat to South Korea

Bangladesh women's hockey team's Asian Games debut continued to prove a difficult one as they suffered an 8-0 defeat to South Korea in their Pool A match at the Gifu Prefectural Green Stadium in Japan on Wednesday.

Making their maiden appearance in the Asian Games, Bangladesh struggled to cope with South Korea's attacking pressure from the outset as the Koreans repeatedly tested their defence and scored eight goals.

Bangladesh had earlier suffered a 13-0 defeat to China before putting up a stronger fight against Malaysia, eventually losing 3-1.    �"BSS
