Storm warning issued for 11 regions, including Cox’s Bazar

Temporary gusty or stormy winds of up to 60 kmph may hit 11 regions, including Cox’s Bazar, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department said.

The warning, issued for inland river ports from 5am to 1pm on Thursday, said rain or thundershowers accompanied by winds of 45–60 kmph may sweep over Jessore, Kushtia, Pabna, Faridpur, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Cumilla, Noakhali, Chattogram and Cox’s Bazar.

River ports in these areas have been advised to hoist warning signal No. 1.
