PM to address UN assembly in Bangla tonight: Mahdi Amin

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman will deliver his address to the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly in Bangla early Thursday, Bangladesh time.
He is scheduled to deliver the speech at around 3AM on Thursday night, according to Mahdi Amin, spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office.
Amin made the announcement during a briefing at the lobby of the Hyatt Grand Central New York hotel in Manhattan.
This will be Tarique Rahman’s first address to the UN General Assembly since becoming prime minister.
Mahdi said his address will mark a new chapter as he follows in the footsteps of his father, Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, and mother, late Prime Minister Khaleda Zia, who also addressed the UNGA earlier.
