Southeast Bank PLC has signed a participation agreement with Bangladesh Bank under its Tk 1,000 crore refinance scheme aimed at accelerating financing for environmentally friendly projects, particularly the establishment of green industries and green factory buildings.
Md Khalid Mahmood Khan, managing director and CEO of Southeast Bank PLC, and AKM Nurunnabi, director of the Sustainable Finance Department of Bangladesh Bank, participated in the signing ceremony held recently at Bangladesh Bank’s head office.
Under the scheme, Southeast Bank PLC will provide financing to eligible clients at preferential interest rates, supporting sustainable industrial development and promoting environmentally responsible investment in Bangladesh.
Among others, Md Tohidul Islam, additional director; Mohammad Anowarul Bari, additional director; Mohammad Delowar Hossain, joint director; Md Kamrul Islam, joint director; Md Masudur Rahman, deputy director; and Md Wahiduzzaman, assistant director of Bangladesh Bank’s Sustainable Finance Department, were present at the ceremony.
