BGB seizes 11 bottles of Indian cough syrup

The Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized 11 bottles of Indian Kingdil syrup during a border patrol in Sapahar, Naogaon, on Thursday.

A patrol team from Adatala Border Outpost, led by Naib Subedar Md Robiul Islam, recovered the syrup, believed to be an alternative to Phensedyl, from Patari around 5:30 PM. The bottles were found abandoned.

The seized drugs are being handed over to Sapahar Police Station for legal action.

Lt Col Mohammad Ariful Islam Masum, commander of Naogaon Battalion (16 BGB), said operations against illegal border crossings, cattle smuggling, drug trafficking and other forms of smuggling would continue along the Naogaon-Chapainawabganj border.
