Sarjis warns of BNP's internal conflict

NCP Chief Organiser (North) Sarjis Alam has warned that BNP could eventually face internal conflict, saying the party’s own members may turn against one another.

In a Facebook post on Saturday (September 26), Sarjis wrote that BNP members could eventually become involved in looting homes, occupying land, extortion, violence and even taking lives within the party.

His remarks came amid his recent criticism of BNP's activities. On September 20, Sarjis had also accused BNP of creating a “new Hawa Bhaban” and alleged large-scale looting while criticising the recent fuel price hike.

Sarjis has previously said BNP needs to change its “old practices, habits and mindset” or risk becoming irrelevant in Bangladesh.
