Karmasangsthan Bank distributes SBMMEF cheques in Kurigram

Karmasangsthan Bank distributed Small Business Microfinance and Micro Enterprise Fund (SBMMEF) cheques and held a training programme at the Kurigram District Council Auditorium on Saturday.

Karmasangsthan Bank Managing Director Arun Kumar Chowdhury attended the programme as chief guest and keynote speaker. Senior bank officials, trainees and beneficiaries also attended.

In his speech, Chowdhury said SBMMEF would provide entrepreneurs with loans, training, consultancy and market linkages to help them expand their businesses. He also stressed easy-term financing and training in business management, accounting and proper use of loans.

Under the project, cheques were distributed to five female and one male entrepreneur. Training on small business and micro-enterprise management was also provided.

The programme was organised by Karmasangsthan Bank’s Kurigram branch.
