RAJUK to open one-stop service to expedite building plans 

Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK) is in a move to launch a one-stop service to reduce delays and public suffering in approving building plans.

Under the proposed system, applicants will be able to submit their plans at a single designated location, while the applications will be processed within a stipulated time, according to a member of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Housing and Public Works.

Committee member Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Iqbal disclosed the information while speaking to journalists after the first meeting of the committee at the National Parliament Building on Monday. The meeting was chaired by Committee Chairman Md Rezaul Karim Badsha.

Sheikh Mujibur Rahman said applicants currently have to visit several government offices, including the Fire Service and Civil Defence and the Department of Environment, to obtain approval for building plans.
