504 Nexus group students secure Japanese visas in 2026

A total of 504 students associated with Nexus Group have secured Japanese student visas in different semesters of 2026, reflecting the growing interest among Bangladeshi students in pursuing higher education and career opportunities in Japan on sunday.

To celebrate the achievement and hand over passports with visas to successful students, Nexus Group (NEXUS-NPI Education and Training Institute) organised a gathering titled “Fulfilling Dreams of Higher Education and Career Building in Japan” in Dhaka, according to a press release.

Nexus Group Chairman Mahmudur Rahman, who joined the event online from Japan, said 250 students received visas for the April semester, 96 for July and 142 for September, bringing the total to 488. The event materials, however, mention 504 students as the overall 2026 achievement.

Chief Operating Officer of AID International Academy Yuya Naga Kikuo attended the event as chief guest. He said many students from Nepal, Sri Lanka and Myanmar are going to Japan, while Bangladeshi students are comparatively behind, creating significant opportunities for them to pursue higher education and careers there.

National Polytechnic Institute Chairman and Nexus-NPI Director Engineer Md Shamsur Rahman and its Principal Md Idris Ali attended as special guests. 

Nexus Group has been assisting students seeking to study in Japan for around a decade. It provides a seven-month preparatory course covering Japanese language training, embassy interview preparation, part-time job interviews and CV writing, along with visa processing, banking support and assistance after arrival in Japan.
