504 Nexus Group students get Japanese student visas in 2026

A total of 504 students associated with Nexus Group have secured Japanese student visas across different semesters in 2026, reflecting growing interest among Bangladeshi students in pursuing higher education and career opportunities in Japan.

To celebrate the achievement and hand over passports bearing visas to successful students, Nexus Group (NEXUS-NPI Education and Training Institute) organised a gathering “Fulfilling Dreams of Higher Education and Career Building in Japan” in Dhaka on Sunday, according to a press release.

Nexus Group Chairman Mahmudur Rahman, who joined the event virtually from Japan, said 250 students received visas for the April semester, 96 for July and 142 for September, bringing the total to 488.
However, event materials stated that 504 students had secured Japanese visas during 2026.

Chief Operating Officer of AID International Academy Yuya Naga Kikuo attended the event as the chief guest.

He said students from Nepal, Sri Lanka and Myanmar are increasingly going to Japan, while Bangladeshi students remain comparatively behind, creating significant opportunities for them to pursue higher education and build careers there.

National Polytechnic Institute Chairman and Nexus-NPI Director Engineer Md Shamsur Rahman, along with its Principal Md Idris Ali, attended the event as special guests.

Nexus Group has been assisting students seeking to study in Japan for about a decade.

It provides a seven-month preparatory programme covering Japanese language training, embassy interview preparation, part-time job interview preparation and CV writing, as well as visa processing, banking support and assistance after students arrive in Japan.
