IU appoints new student advisor, four hall provosts

Islamic University (IU) authorities in Kushtia have appointed a new student advisor and provosts at four dormitories of the university.

Acting Registrar Prof Dr Atikur Rahman confirmed these matters on Sunday.

Prof Dr Mamun Al Rashid of the Department of Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering has been appointed as the Student Advisor, while Prof Dr Hamida Khatun of Al-Fiqh and Law has been appointed at July-36 Hall.

Prof Dr Rashiduzzaman of the Department of Bangla has been appointed at Ummul Mu'minin Aysha Siddika Hall, Prof Dr Abdul Karim of Dawah and Islamic Studies and Prof Dr ASM Aynul Haque Akand of Applied Nutrition and Food Technology have been appointed at Shaheed Anas Hall and Begum Khaleda Zia Hall, respectively.

Furthermore, Prof Dr Minhaz-Ul Haque of the Department of Applied Chemistry & Chemical Engineering has been appointed the additional director of the Central Laboratory, while Prof Abdur Razzaque of the same department has been appointed as a house tutor at Shah Azizur Rahman Hall.

All newly appointed officials will serve a one-year term and will receive standard benefits as per university rules.
