WhatsApp adds direct Facebook, Instagram sharing

WhatsApp is adding direct Instagram and Facebook sharing without download, allowing users to share Reels, posts and Stories directly from the app.

The feature is being rolled out to some beta users on Android and iOS. Once available, Instagram and Facebook will appear as media sources in WhatsApp’s media picker.

Users will be able to select previously shared Reels, posts and Stories and send them in chats or share them as WhatsApp Status updates.

To use the feature, users need to link their WhatsApp account with Meta’s Accounts Center. The rollout is expected to expand to more users in the coming weeks.
