30 acres of forest land recovered at Ukhiya

COX’S BAZAR, Sept 28: The Department of Forest on Sunday evicted seven illegal structures and reclaimed about 30 acres of forest land in the Madhurchhara area of Ukhiya Upazila of the district.

The four-hour operation, led by Ukhiya Range Officer Md Abdul Mannan, ran from 9 am to 1 pm and involved forest officials, staff and members of the Emergency Response Team.
Mannan said legal action would be taken against them and that such drives would continue.
