Expatriate found dead in home yard in Kishoreganj

Police recovered the body of an expatriate youth from his home courtyard at Bhairab of Kishoreganj, on Tuesday morning. His hands, legs and mouth were found tied to a tree.
The deceased was identified as Rokon Ahmed Joy, 26, son of Md Sattar Mia of Purba Nayahati area in Kalikaprasad Union.
The body was recovered around 8:30 AM on Tuesday from the area.
According to the locals, Rokon worked as a labourer in Singapore. After staying there for nearly two years, he returned to Bangladesh on leave about a month ago.
Local residents spotted Rokon tied to a tree in the courtyard of his home on Tuesday morning and informed the police. Police later went to the scene and recovered the body.
Bhairab Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mahbur Rahman said, "police recovered the body and sent it to the district hospital morgue for autopsy."
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding his death, the OC added.
