Chhatra Dal Leader Killed in Chakaria, 7 Accused

A case has been filed at the police station regarding the murder of Chhatra Dal leader Jisan in Chakaria, Cox's Bazar. Seven individuals, including two women, have been named in the case, along with several unidentified persons.

Arifur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chakaria Police Station, confirmed the matter at 5 PM on Tuesday (September 29). He stated that no arrests have been made in the case so far. Four individuals had been taken into police custody from the Sabujbagh area of Chakaria on suspicion of involvement in the incident but were released that same night as they were not implicated in the formal complaint. 

The case is currently under investigation, and those involved in the incident will be arrested and brought to justice. Meanwhile, tension prevails in the area following Jisan's murder. The victim's father, Nazem Uddin, said, "My son was abducted, tortured, and then deliberately murdered. I demand justice for this killing."

Last Sunday (September 27) around 11:30 PM, unidentified individuals abducted Chhatra Dal leader Isfatul Islam Jisan in a white microbus from the Kakara Majher Station area of Chakaria. Four hours after the abduction, police recovered his body from the Kacchapia Dhala area along the Chattogram-Cox's Bazar Highway.
