Mohammad Salahuddin and Mohammad Ashraful will work together again after being appointed head coach and assistant coach respectively of Fortune in Bangladesh's new Domestic Three (D3) Trophy.

Salahuddin was selected as Fortune's head coach in the tournament's management draft, while Ashraful and Abdul Qayyum Jewel were picked as his assistants. Salahuddin and Ashraful have previously worked together with the Bangladesh national team.

The six D3 franchises completed their coaching panels through the management draft, with each team selecting a head coach and two assistants from a list provided by the Bangladesh Cricket Board.

Sohel Islam will coach Ace Bluestar, assisted by Salahuddin Ahmed Ujjal and Ashiqur Rahman Majumder. Former Bangladesh captain Rajin Saleh will lead ACME, with Tarek Aziz Khan and Faisal Hossain Dickens as his assistants.

Former Bangladesh spinner Abdur Razzak has been appointed head coach of Walton, with Tushar Imran and Dollar Mahmud as his assistants. Citizens Bank have chosen Mizanur Rahman Babul as head coach, with Nazmul Hossain and Mohammad Selim joining him.

Seven Rings Cement will be coached by national team pace-bowling coach Talha Zubair. Hannan Sarkar and Humayun Kabir Shahin will serve as his assistants.

Along with the three-member coaching panels, each franchise has selected a physiotherapist, a strength and conditioning coach and an analyst.

The teams can also bring in replacement coaches if members of their original staff are unavailable because of national team commitments.

The D3 Trophy is part of the BCB's restructuring of domestic cricket, bringing four-day first-class, 50-over and T20 competitions under a single franchise structure. The tournament will feature 42 matches in total, with seven four-day games, 16 one-day matches and 19 T20 fixtures.

The T20 competition is scheduled to begin on December 15, followed by the four-day phase in January and the one-day competition in May.

For Salahuddin and Ashraful, however, the immediate interest will be their reunion at Fortune, where two familiar figures from Bangladesh's national setup will now work together in the new domestic structure.
