Police arrested a man after two cocktails exploded opposite the investigation agency office of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) in Dhanmondi, Dhaka.
The explosion took place around 12:26am on Wednesday on a road in front of a house on Road 11/A. Police arrested Rezaul Islam, 23, while he was fleeing the scene.
According to police, Rezaul told investigators that an unidentified man offered him Tk 50,000 to carry out the explosion. He allegedly surveyed the area on September 28 before returning and detonating two cocktails.
No one was injured in the incident. Police recovered fragments of the exploded cocktails from the scene and said legal action against Rezaul was underway.
