Lionel Messi has arrived in Rosario for what is expected to be his final match for Argentina, with the forward set to face Benin next Tuesday. Ahead of the farewell, Messi was seen closely watching a football match on his laptop.
A photograph of Messi watching the game has sparked discussion on social media. The laptop screen showed a 4-1 scoreline, with Messi watching Spanish club CD Eldense’s match against recently relegated La Liga side Real Oviedo.
Messi recently acquired full ownership of Eldense and appeared to be following the team’s big win. The club shared the photograph on social media with the caption, “An important victory achieved by everyone.”
Messi, wearing the number 10 shirt, responded with a clapping emoji and wrote, “Go Deportivo.”
Earlier, Messi acquired ownership of Spanish fifth-tier club Esportiu Cornellà. He has now added Eldense, founded in 1921, to his club portfolio.
