India needs political will to extradite Sheikh Hasina: Shama Obaid

India, as well as Bangladesh, needs to show political will regarding the extradition of former prime minister Sheikh Hasina, Foreign Affairs State Minister Shama Obaid said on Sunday.
She made the remarks while speaking to journalists at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka on Sunday afternoon.
Responding to a question, Shama said Hasina’s extradition was not only a matter for the courts but also involved political will.
She also spoke about the high-level Bangladeshi delegation’s visit to Los Angeles.
During the visit, Meta showed interest in working with Bangladesh in various sectors, she said. The company is also considering opening an office in Bangladesh.
Shama said the delegation held more than 15 meetings with various technology companies, including Apple, Meta and Cisco, during the Los Angeles visit.
