DU student injured after falling from ninth floor

A University of Dhaka student was seriously injured after falling from the ninth floor of Jagannath Hall’s Santosh Bhaban on Sunday night.
The incident occurred shortly after midnight.
Fellow students rescued the injured student and took him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.
The identity of the student could not immediately be confirmed. He is a student of the Department of Development Studies, enrolled in the 2025-26 academic session.
It was not immediately clear how the student fell from the building.
He is currently receiving treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
According to the students who rescued him, the student did not fall directly onto the ground. Instead, he landed on the roof of the vegetarian mess of the hall.
