A woman from Chapainawabganj died while undergoing dengue treatment at RMCH.

Mosa. Josna Ara, 50, succumbed to dengue fever and died in Rajshahi. She passed away at 2:15AM on Wednesday while undergoing treatment at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH).

The deceased, Josna Ara, was a resident of the Namoshankarbatia area within the Chapainawabganj municipal zone.

Dr Shamim Ahmed, media spokesperson for RMCH, confirmed the matter on Wednesday morning. Hospital sources stated that Josna Ara was admitted to the hospital at 12:05PM on Tuesday after contracting dengue; she subsequently died at 2:15AM while under treatment.

Dr Shamim Ahmed stated that “Expanded Dengue Syndrome” was cited as the cause of her death.

A pall of gloom has descended upon her family and relatives following her death.
