A sudden storm damaged several roadside shops and structures along the Mymensingh-Dhaka bypass road on Wednesday afternoon.
Strong winds blew parts of the structures onto the road and vehicles, damaging several vehicles and briefly disrupting traffic. Dust also reduced visibility, forcing drivers to slow down.
A bus driver, Delwar Hossain, said parts of roadside shops were blown onto the road and hit his bus, damaging some parts of it.
Traffic returned to normal after broken structures, tree branches and debris were cleared from the road.
No major accidents or casualties were reported immediately.
