DCCI, ERF Institute sign MoU for joint economic research

The Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) and the Economic Reporters’ Forum (ERF) Institute have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to conduct joint research and strengthen cooperation on the country’s economy, trade and investment.

The MoU was signed on Wednesday at the DCCI auditorium in Motijheel, Dhaka.

DCCI President Taskeen Ahmed signed the MoU on behalf of the chamber, while ERF President Daulat Akter Mala signed for the ERF Institute.

Speaking at the event, DCCI Senior Vice President Rajib H Chowdhury said economic news published by the media plays an important role in helping local entrepreneurs and policymakers take effective measures to address changing economic challenges at home and globally.

“Economic reporting has a significant role in creating awareness about emerging challenges and helping policymakers and businesses make informed decisions,” he said.

He said the DCCI and ERF would jointly organise training programmes, workshops, seminars, research initiatives and knowledge-sharing activities under the MoU.
