10-hour gas outage on Thursday

Gas supply will remain suspended for 10 hours in several parts of Dhaka on Thursday (October 8) due to emergency repair work on a gas pipeline, Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company said in a notice on Wednesday (October 7).

The supply will remain suspended from 10AM to 8PM in Agargaon, western parts of Taltala, Shewrapara, Kazipara and Mirpur-10, as well as Mirpur-1, Paikpara, Kallyanpur, Shyamoli, Mirpur 60 Feet and Pirerbag areas.

Residential, commercial and CNG customers in the affected areas will remain without gas during the repair period.

Gas pressure may also remain low in adjoining areas during the scheduled maintenance work, according to the notice.

Titas Gas has expressed regret for the temporary inconvenience caused to consumers due to the emergency repair work.
