Missing youth found dead in Rajbari

RAJBARI, Oct 9: Police recovered the body of Fuad Chowdhury alias Rohan, 21, from a pond in Dadshi Union of Rajbari Sadar Upazila on Thursday, four days after he went missing.

Rohan, the son of Farhad Chowdhury of Dadshi Village in the upazila, went missing on Monday afternoon. Family members searched for him in several places but couldn’t locate him.

Family members, local residents and police from Rajbari Sadar Police Station (PS) found the body wrapped in a sack lying in the water on Thursday evening. Police later recovered the body and family members identified it as Rohan’s.

Officer-in-Charge of Rajbari Sadar PS Uttam Kumar Ghosh said an investigation was underway and the cause of death would be determined after the autopsy report was available.
