Minor killed in Rajbari road mishap

RAJBARI, Oct 9: A 3.5-year-old boy was killed after being run over by a cow-laden Nasimon, a locally used three-wheeled vehicle, in the district on Wednesday.

The child, Takrim Nur, son of Golap Ali Mondal, was playing on a road in front of his home in Char Jhikri Village of Habaspur Union in Pangsha Upazila around 2 pm when the vehicle struck him. Locals took the critically injured child to Pangsha Upazila Health Complex, where on-duty physician Dr Ibadat Ali declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge of Pangsha Police Station Sheikh Moinul Islam confirmed the death, saying the family had raised no complaint and the body was handed over to them. Angry locals later detained and vandalised the vehicle.
