The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday warned against the spread of misleading, baseless and malicious information targeting the Bangladesh Army and its chief on various online platforms and social media.

In a statement, the ISPR said such propaganda appeared to be aimed at creating public confusion and damaging the image of the Bangladesh Army.

It urged everyone not to be influenced by such misleading and deliberate campaigns.

The ISPR also said the Bangladesh Army remained united, guided by a strong chain of command, mutual trust, unity, discipline and professionalism, and was committed to fulfilling its responsibilities towards the country and its people.

It called on the public to rely on official and credible sources for information concerning the Bangladesh Army and its chief.
