The Education Ministry has warned the public against a fake office order circulated in its name regarding students’ commitment to academic activities at universities across the country.

In a press release issued on Sunday (October 11), the ministry said the purported order, titled “Regarding demonstrating commitment to academic activities towards students”, had no connection with the ministry and was entirely fabricated.

The ministry said the fake document used a forged signature of Assistant Secretary Md Sultan Ahmed and was circulated with a date of October 11.

It warned that the spread of such misleading information through news outlets and social media could create confusion among teachers, students, guardians and officials concerned.

The ministry urged all concerned not to take any action based on the fake order and refrain from sharing or circulating it.

For accurate and verified information regarding the ministry, the public has been advised to consult its official website at www.shed.gov.bd.
