Youth dies from electrocution

A 22-year-old man died after being electrocuted while working at his poultry farm in Matlab Uttar upazila of Chandpur on Sunday evening.

The deceased was identified as Sabbir Hossain son of Nure Alam Bhuiyan from Aitha Di Mathabhanga area of the upazila.

Locals said, Sabbir was working at his poultry farm in the evening when he suffered an electric shock. He was rushed to Matlab Uttar Upazila Health Complex in critical condition, where the duty-doctor declared him dead.

Officer-in-Charge of Matlab Uttar Police Station Manas Barua confirmed the incident, saying the body would be handed over to the family after the completion of legal procedures.
