Unidentified woman found dead beside railway tracks

An unidentified woman was killed after being run over by a train in the Meherchandi area of Rajshahi city on Sunday.

Police recovered her body from the railway tracks on October 11, but her identity has yet to be established.

According locals, residents spotted the woman's body lying on the railway tracks and informed Rajshahi Railway Police Station. Police later went to the spot, recovered the body and sent it to the morgue.

The circumstances surrounding her death remain unclear. Police are investigating whether it was an accident or whether other factors were involved.

Officer-in-Charge of Rajshahi Railway Police Station Hafizur Rahman said, "the body of an unidentified woman had been recovered beside the railway tracks."

He added that her identity had not yet been established and further legal action would be taken in accordance with the law.
