Detective Branch (DB) police in Bogura have arrested Erin Ahmed Sweet, leader of the ‘Sweet Group’, and another man over a Facebook video showing Sweet posing with a Burmese knife and a pistol, allegedly spreading panic.

Police recovered a Burmese knife and seized an unregistered Pulsar motorcycle during the operation.

The other arrestee was identified as Md Mirajul, 19. Both are residents of Shajahanpur upazila in Bogura.

DB Officer-in-Charge Iqbal Bahar disclosed the information at a press conference at the district DB office around 1:00 PM on Monday (October 12).

Police later arrested Sweet and Mirajul during a raid in the Phulkort Madhyapara area of Amrul union under Shajahanpur upazila on Sunday afternoon. A Burmese knife was recovered during the operation.
