Benapole port to suspend trade for Durga Puja

Import-export activities through Benapole land port will be suspended during the Durga Puja holidays, with trade scheduled to resume on October 25.

India’s Petrapole port will remain closed from October 17 to 21, while commercial activities in Bangladesh will be suspended from October 20 to 24, including weekly holidays.

However, Benapole port and customs operations will remain normal on October 18 and 19, said acting port director Ruhul Amin.

Passport-holding passengers will be able to cross the border as usual throughout the holidays, officials said.
