Former BNP lawmaker Salahuddin Ahmed, who represented Dhaka-4 and Dhaka-5 constituencies, died at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka on Tuesday night. He was also the party’s commerce affairs secretary.
He breathed his last at 810pm on October 13 while undergoing treatment at the hospital. His son, Tanvir Ahmed Robin, member secretary of BNP’s Dhaka South City unit, confirmed the death in a social media post.
“My father is no more. He has returned to his Lord. He breathed his last at Evercare Hospital at 810pm,” Robin wrote.
He also sought prayers for his father, asking people to pray that Allah grants him Jannatul Ferdous.
