Child content creator Dip dies in pond drowning

Dip Shil, a three-year-old child who gained popularity on social media through videos with his uncle, died after drowning in a pond in Bahubal upazila of Habiganj on Tuesday (October 13).

The child's body was recovered from a pond near his home in Narikeltala village at around 2:35PM after family members began searching for him when he went missing at around 2:10PM, according to family members.

Dip was the son of Bijoy Shil and had appeared in creative videos with his uncle, Biplab Shil, an assistant teacher at New Vision KG and High School and a content creator. The videos helped the child gain popularity on social media in recent months.

Following the incident, Biplab announced Dip's death in a Facebook post and said the child's funeral rites were completed at 9PM on Tuesday. Bahubal Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ruhul Amin Talukdar confirmed to the media that the three-year-old content creator had died by drowning.
