Hasanul Haq Inu taken to DMCH under CID supervision

Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal (Jasad) President and former Information Minister Hasanul Haq Inu was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday evening for a primary health checkup.

He was brought to the DMCH emergency department around 6:15 PM under the supervision of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) with overall assistance from the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

CID Inspector Nasir Uddin Sarkar confirmed the matter, stating that Inu underwent preliminary health checkups at the emergency department before officials escorted him back from the hospital around 6:30 PM.

Following the fall of the Awami League government, police arrested Hasanul Haq Inu from Uttara in the capital on August 26, 2024. He is currently facing trial in several cases before the ICT tribunal.
